Trip Information
This 6 day adventure blends big-mountain adventure with smart use of van shuttles and lift networks, allowing you to save your legs for the best part—the descents.
From the moment we roll out of Chamonix, the route leads us through some of the most spectacular alpine landscapes in France. Through the lush meadows of Beaufortain, alongside the rugged peaks of the Vanoise, and dropping into the dramatic Maurienne valley with its huge vertical and wild, natural trails. As we travel further south, we follow ancient paths through the serene Val de Clarée, explore the historic fort town of Briançon, and ride beneath the towering glaciers of La Grave.
Each day links huge singletrack descents, climbs to high-mountain traverses, and remote valleys, delivering a true point-to-point adventure where the focus is always on unforgettable downhill riding, amazing scenery, and the excitement of a new destination every evening.
It really does have everything we want from a two wheeled adventure including comfortable accommodation in authentic mountain hotels, and great local food!
The trip finishes on a high note with one of the longest and most satisfying descents of the week: a flowing, varied, and endlessly fun drop from the heights of Alpe d’Huez all the way to the valley floor far below. It’s a descent that seems to go on forever—delivering a final burst of adrenaline and a perfect sense of completion.
At the bottom, our minibus awaits to take us back to Chamonix, winding through the mountains we’ve just spent a week traversing. That evening, we gather for a final well-earned meal at the hotel, sharing stories, laughs, and highlights from the journey before the trip wraps up the following morning.
Don’t just take our word for it!
