The sun has set on our first Where Eagles Dare Highland adventure, and what a trip it was 😍 A lucky bunch of riders got to see this beautiful part of Scotland at its absolute best! We choose to run our trips here at the times we do, as even though we can't guarantee it, the weather and conditions are often the best times of the year to be here, and that was definitely the case last week! Guiding is more than a job, it's a calling. Great guides are passionate about where they work and take huge pride in bringing others to see those places, curating the perfect combination of trails for every rider in the group. Endless Trails MTB has the best guides in the business, guides who embody this ethos. They also have @chamonixbikeguide. Graham does love a good trail, however it is occasionally observed that his idea of a good trail can err towards the more 'nibbly' side of the trail spectrum. The pre-ride descriptions of these trails sometimes leave a little to be desired, riders have mentioned it can be hard to tell if he's being sarcastic or not. He is. Meet Julia - founder, director, and lead guide at Endless Trails MTB 🚵🏼‍♀️ Happiest outdoors, Julia is rarely still. When she’s not guiding or riding, you’ll find her running, climbing, ski touring, or swimming in a cold mountain lake. Based in Yorkshire (though she’s often elsewhere), she spends her summers in the Alps and escapes whenever she can through the winter - all while somehow keeping the business running and trips seamlessly organised behind the scenes. She’ll be guiding many of this year’s adventures, bringing her signature energy to every ride. Known for her steady “Julia radio” chatter on long climbs, a love of hike-a-bike, and a passion for big days out in the hills, she’s all about endless singletrack descents, wild landscapes, and escaping the noise of everyday life. As things gear up for the start of the season, behind the scenes we're already starting to think about the next one...And we're excited to announce a new trip! 🎉 From Hills to High Alps: Big Mountain MTB preparation ⛰️🚵‍♂️ New for 2027 - a focused weekend to help you step up your riding and prepare properly for the Alps. Based in Scotland’s Tweed Valley, this trip blends expert coaching with real trail time. You’ll work on descending, cornering, line choice and tackling stepper terrain, while also covering fitness, mindset, essential alpine skills like hike a bike, and bike setup for big mountain riding. We'll cover common concerns for first-time trip guests, such as "How do I pack my bike for a trip?", "What spares should I take on a big trip?", and "What happens if my bike has a mechanical issue?" With a female guide on our team and a welcoming, supportive atmosphere, we often find a great balance in our groups - and sometimes even more women than men joining us! A modern setup with 150mm+ travel (27.5”, 29”, or a mullet) is ideal - something slack enough to really enjoy the descents, but still efficient when it’s time to climb. A full suspension bike will give you the most comfort and control on the kind of natural, technical terrain we ride. That said, if you’re confident tackling those trails on a hardtail, it can absolutely work too. Not sure if your current bike is up to the job?
