Trip Information
The diversity of trails in the Dolomites is incredible, from ribbons of singletrack winding through high alpine meadows, to wild open ridgelines, dense forest trails of loam, rocky lunar landscapes and everything in between. We’ll sample all of this and more during our week-long trip!
Staying in 2 different cosy family-run hotels, and spending one night in a high mountain refuge allows us to explore different riding areas and valleys each day, each of which has it’s own unique character. You’ll eat locally sourced and home-cooked food, in quantities fitting for the long days you’ll be spending in the hills. and you’ll meet local hotel and restaurant owners who’s pride for their home region is evident in their hospitality and eagerness to welcome us and ensure we sleep and eat well.
You’ll be accompanied by a Fassa Bike locally certified guide and driver during the week. Uplifts are mainly on the amazing Dolomiti lift network, as well as a few vehicle shuttles, and will ensure maximal descending and minimal climbing to access the trails. There will be times where it’s necessary to do some climbing, but we guarantee it’ll be well worth the effort (and we need to do something to earn that extra helping of homemade pasta right?!). In all cases the balance will be heavily tipped towards descending.
Most days you’ll ride between 30-40km, climb on average 300-400m and descend at least 3000m! On a couple of days, if the weather allows, we’ll be climbing 800-900m. We promise you these epic rides are totally worth it for the trails and landscapes these climbs allow us to access!
